Splurge: Did you splurge on something this year? Did the troubled economy prompt you to hold back, or did you just give it all for something?
When I went to Hawaii, I splurged on a ring for myself. You see, when my relationship ended just one year and a day ago, I had thought, at the time that my trip to Hawaii (mentioned here) would be a place where I would end up getting engaged.
Since that didn't happen, I went with the theme "Let Freedom Ring." On my flight to Hawaii, I settled upon the idea of getting a freedom ring. It would be something I would wear almost constantly the first part of the year and then, again, out on occasions. I would hope that I would look at it and remember what I really want, need, and deserve.
Then, I hoped, one day to be able to give it to my own daughter (should I have one) or some other young woman who is in need of inspiration to let their freedom... ring.
